Teachers today “were not surrounded by technology growing up” (Richardson, 2009). Do you think this plays a role at all in how far technology goes in the classroom? While reading about integrating technology in the classroom, I came across the passage above. It seems as if teachers today could possibly be slightly worried about not knowing what students do when it comes to technology. As a young educator, I want to use technology and do often. How can I reach out to those educators that may be a little reluctant when it comes to technology?

It is hard to believe that the World Wide Web began only 20 years ago. Look how far we have come in that amount of time. As I have been reading about Tim Berners-Lee and his vision for the internet. I am amazed. It was easy for him to start the internet, make it colorful and offer wide ranges of information. How can we change it even more today to fit our needs?

Based on our rigorous state standards, teaching creativity, etc. is almost impossible. Using technology helps to make that possible. Since I have had an interactive board in my classroom, I have found new, exciting ways to teach my skills. I definitely think we have room to grow when it comes to technology integration in the schools, however I feel very blessed to have the technology that I do have.
